SNAP 2011 Analysis for SNAP entrance test conducted on Sunday, 18th December 2011.

SNAP 2011 was held on 18th December, Sunday. The paper was easy and was on expected lines. Like last year, SNAP 2011 was divided into four sections and the total number of questions asked was 150. Like previous year, each question had four options and if you gave an incorrect answer, there was a penalty of 25% of the marks allotted in each question.

Snap 2011 Answere Key for all Sets

An important thing that candidates should keep in mind is that since Symbiosis institutes will not be considering sectional cutoff, you should look at maximising the overall score. With the paper having a good number of easy questions (around 65) and moderate level questions (around 60), students have a good chance of attempting around 105 + questions.

Expected cutoff for SIBM: 110 - 115 marks

Expected cutoff for SCMHRD: 85+ marks, SIIB 95+, SITM 85+, others 60+

Let us examine section-wise analysis of the test. SNAP 2011 had a similar difficulty level as that of SNAP 2010.

1) General English: Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

Total Number of questions: 40

Total Marks: 40

Experts say this section in SNAP 2011 was very easy. A student who was prepared well could have easily scored 28 to 30 marks in given or less time. A good attempt of this section means the candidate would have attempted 31 to 34 questions. If we see the difficulty level of this section, there were 24 easy questions asked, 9 questions of moderately difficult level and seven were tough questions. Apart from 6 questions based on idioms, 2 ambiguous RC questions and 2 questions based on proverbs rest of all were very easy.

2) Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency

In compared to General English section, Quantitative and Data Interpretation section of SNAP 2010 was tougher. According to experts, a good number of attempts in this section will be 30+ questions with a score of 25-28.. Around 4-5 questions in the section were ambiguous or had some error or incomplete information. The section, based on bar-chart, was very tough and involved lot of thinking on the part of test taker.

3) Analytical and Logical Reasoning

There were 30 questions asked in this section and total number of marks allotted to each question was two. Like SNAP 2009, Analytical and Logical Reasoning section of SNAP 2010 was the most scoring and one could easily score 40 marks in allotted time of 40 minutes. According to industry experts, a good number of attempts in this section will be 23-25 questions with a score of around 40. This section had 12 very easy questions and five tough questions.

4) General Awareness: This section was general knowledge, current affairs and business scenario. The section had 17 questions on current affairs and static GK. There were a few questions that were very tough and as per experts from coaching industry, a score of 18 to 20 marks would be considered pretty good.     My over all score is around 98.As thee is no sectionsl cutoff, what will be the expexted cutoff from sibm-pune,sibm-banglur,schmrd &siib? which college i should apply to get gd/pi call with out wasting money?

    SIIB is expected to be around 94+ as already mentioned but it could vary a bit
